  • Working Party Day

    Published 18/03/24

What a fantastic morning! We cannot thank everyone enough for all of their hard work.

A new gate has been made from an old fence panel to make the entrance wider and the whole space more accessible.  The greenhouses are sparkly too. We just need to order a few sleepers and some extra bits to reinforce the back fence.

Lots of work has been done down in Forest School, ready for Welly Wanderers.

Look how full the skip is too!

  • Year 3 and 4 Hindu Experience

    Published 11/03/24

Years 3 and 4 enjoyed having Rashmika, our Hindu friend, in school last week. She made us think deeply about our similarities, differences and feelings.

We then got creative and had opportunities to look at traditional dress and learn some traditional dance. We made bracelets for 'brothers day', puja plates and flower garlands like in a traditional Hindu Wedding!

    Fun was had by all!

  • World Book Day - Friday 8th March 2024

    Published 04/03/24

We are encouraging everyone to dress up on Friday (8th March) for World Book Day. We would encourage all of the children to think about a character they would like to be, and then come in clothes that reflect their choice. Officially World Book Day is on Thursday 7th March, but due to a lot of our classes having PE that day, we have made the decision to dress up on Friday instead. Each child will receive a World Book Day token which we hope that they can use towards the purchase of a book.

  • Science Investigations in Year 6

    Published 19/02/24

Year 6 have been investigating insoluble and soluble materials.

In groups they went around the classroom in a carousel, testing different materials to see if it would dissolve in water. They made sure to keep it a fair test by ensuring certain variables were kept the same. Once finished, we discussed and wrote our results as a class.

With curry powder, vinegar, mustard and coffee on the materials list, it was quite stinky in the classroom afterwards!
