Building Bridges
Year 6 have had lots of fun building their bridges this week with Mr C.
They demonstrated excellent team work and construction skills.

Year 4 have been investigating which materials are conductors and insulators and created their own experiment. They are superb scientists!
The Reception class have been investigating a range of African musical instruments this week. We all had a chance to play them and to think about the way the sounds were produced.
Year 1 are learning about Creation in Religious Education this half term. We learnt about the Christian story of Creation and made these beautiful collaborative collages based on the 7 days of Creation.
Year 1 are learning about Traditional Tales in literacy this half term. We are currently reading Cinderella and did some fantastic drama last week in groups. We had some super acting! This week we are going to enjoy writing some character descriptions.
We had a real surprise in Year 2 this week as our tiny seeds have really started to grow over the holidays. Our next step is to plant them out in the veg patch and wait and see how big they will get!
We have been so impressed with how creative you have all been for our PTA 'Wacky Hair Day' fundraiser. We thought you might like to see some pictures!
This week in Nursery, children have been learning about how plants grow. They have enjoyed creating a display to show their learning, and loved planting some seeds!
In D.T this week, Year 6 have been creating paper bridges with Mr C and investigating their strengths with 2p coins.
The Reception class had a fantastic day out at 'The Exotic Zoo' yesterday. The children saw a range of animals in different habitats. It was a great starting point for our new topic 'Animal safari'.
In Y5, we are learning about Ancient Greece. We used freeze-frame photography to retell the story of The Labours of Heracles (also known as Hercules).
The Reception class had a great time during their outdoor learning session this week. They worked together to create dens and made pathways for their lorries and diggers. Some children even took the dinosaurs for a ride. It was lovely to see everyone helping each other and cooperating so well.
